In the play "The Ugly Duckling" inspired by the famous tale of the renowned Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen, the story is about an unusual duckling born among ducks. Due to his differences, he faces rejection and hardships. One day, upon seeing his reflection in the pond, he suddenly realizes that he is, in fact, a magnificent white swan. This experimental production combines shadow and rod puppetry, replacing dialogue with musical accompaniment, which helps to vividly illustrate the duckling's journey from life in a flat shadowy world to finding himself in the form of an elegant swan.
The performance is non-verbal.
